== Abstract ==
Cryoelectron tomography attempts to allow the visualization of complex biological
specimens’ molecular architecture. This technique yields 3D maps with an extremely low
signal-to-noise ratio. A new approach based on anisotropic nonlinear diffusion offers a
strategy to reduce the noise and enhance local structures.
